Custom Toy Call for Artists…

We’re putting together our first ever custom toy show!!!

We’ve teamed up with the super fresh 1up Collectibles comic shop in Reading, PA to throw a custom toy shindig of sorts! Artists are welcome to come display and sell their works, but if you can’t make it, don’t worry! You can still send us your customs for the show.

We’re still in the planning stages and need some artists to take part in the awesomeness. Please help us out by spreading the word and feel free to email me for more info or use the comments to ask questions.

This is going to be awesome!

Movember Art Show!

We’ve got a lot things planned for this Movember that we’re pretty excited about. I’ll post all of the information for that later, but first I wanted to let everyone know about our Movember Art Show we have planned for the November “Movember” Art Walk!

The Mo, slang for moustache, and November come together each year for Movember. This event challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. So for our Movember Art Show, artists of all disciplines can submit work created in any medium as long as mustaches are the subject matter.

The opening will be held at the November Art Walk on November 3rd from 5pm-9pm at the 229 Hogan Street Studio. Art pieces are due by October 27. I’ll have more information regarding drop-off locations soon.

Sound Awesome? Of course it does. If you have questions, contact Sean Collins at or at 904.718.6947.

Salon Gallery

There’s a new gallery on the block! Lets give a big welcome to Salon. A brand spanking new gallery that’s set to have its “soft” opening during the July art walk. Always good to see a new gallery open up here in the ville. I have also been invited to show some work with them so, it will also be nice to be back in a gallery that’s a participant in Art Walk each month. Salon is having an open call to artists as well. Here is the details that I got from Salon- For any additional details visit their web site at . Salon Gallery is located at 109 East Bay St in downtown Jacksonville. Dont forget to check them out during the July art walk, they are very open to feedback so let them know what ya think about the new gallery.-BG

This is a call for all artists in all media.

If you are interested in showing at Salon please forward the following to
• picture of the piece(s)
• brief description of the materials used
• specific dimensions
• suggested retail price(s)
• your contact information

Upon review by Salon’s principals we will then reach out to you to schedule a time for you to drop off the selected work(s). At this meeting you will review and sign our consignment agreement (30% commission/no hanging fees). We can also create the bio that will accompany your work(s) at Salon. The space is still undergoing renovations but we would love to have you stop in to see the raw space and possibly give us some cool design ideas (wink, wink). We are all about collaboration so we will be holding a mixer/open house soon. We will keep you posted on the details.

Visit for more information. Salon is located at 109 E. Bay St.

Call to Artists- AIGA JAX

I got this from my friend and fellow artist Chad Landenberger a while back and I just now got around to posting this up. Ive just been swamped with stuff lately. Anyhow…The Jax chapter of AIGA is really cranking out some fresh events over the next few months. I wanted to highlight the open call to artist for AIGA and non-AIGA members. The show will be a poster show called “Always Summer” to take place at a location TBD on 09/26 @7pm. The whole concept is great- Here is what the AIGA has to say about this event-

Summer’s over and it’s time to cool it off with a smokin’ new poster design. You know you have that hot summer polka song floating around in the back of your mind and you’re raring to turn it into a true work of art. Heck, you might even win some prizes while you’re at it with the Jax Choice award. You don’t have to be a member of AIGA to participate so join in on the party and save your spot in the show now! AIGA Jacksonville’s annual membership event is the perfect place to grab a few cold beers, a bite to eat, enjoy some local art and reminisce about the lost days of summer. Featuring some of Northeast Florida’s foremost creative talents, Always Summer celebrates design excellence in our area. AIGA Jacksonville presents this exhibit reflecting diverse disciplines of design emphasizing illustration, typography and printing techniques. Participants are asked to pick their favorite summer song and turn it into a piece of art in poster form. A live local DJ will be performing the songs compiled from the artists’ selections to set the tone for the night! You don’t even have to be a member of AIGAto take part. Participating designers will have the chance at some killer prizes by winning Jax Choice awarded by popular vote.

If you are interested in beign a part of the show let the folks at AIGA know by sending them an email
