We’re putting together our first ever custom toy show!!!
We’ve teamed up with the super fresh 1up Collectibles comic shop in Reading, PA to throw a custom toy shindig of sorts! Artists are welcome to come display and sell their works, but if you can’t make it, don’t worry! You can still send us your customs for the show.
We’re still in the planning stages and need some artists to take part in the awesomeness. Please help us out by spreading the word and feel free to email me for more info or use the comments to ask questions.
This is going to be awesome!

Design a toy from scratch, add to an existing toy, or customize a blank vinyl toy. Last year we had over 80 artists exhibiting. To see their work, check out these excellent sources for ideas and inspiration:

Ok foolks I got a live one here. I came across this the other day and think its a killer idea for those of us out there who would love to make our own vinyl toys but, don’t have thousands to blow on it in hopes of it returning a profit. Welcome to Patch Together. They have a very simple 3 step process to see if your design will fit the bill if it goes into production and they will produce your custom toy if ya make the cut. So, how does it work? Simple. Submit your design, drawing, sketch, 3d model, whatever to them…people then vote on your design, get enough votes to justify the company in investing in your creation and booyah…you win 500.00 and 5% commission on all sales of your design. Not bad considering all of the usual cost involved in making just one single customized toy. Check them out on www.patchtogether.comand submit your good. I know I will be….soon. I’m gonna keep tabs on this one too. There’s a lot of great designs on the site. Vote now for your favorites.

After days of storms, floods, power outs, and intermittent internet, this is something that cheered me up tremendously. “The Avenging Narwhal play set” comes with everything you see here. Join these noble creatures as they fight off koalas, baby seals, and penguins with their magical tusks! Narwhals are awesome! Check out Archie Mcphee for more info and zany novelty items.
September looks to be another great month for shows! Brian and I will have the rundown for everybody very soon…Its good to have the internet back.
